GILLSAW is the sonic vision of Bay Area drummer and experimental musician Jole Gills. GILLSAW'S unique sound blends raw energy with intricate textures, drawing inspiration from industrial, progressive metal, and cinematic soundscapes. His eclectic influences range from industrial pioneers like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails to progressive metal giants like Devin Townsend and Tool, with detours into the experimental realms of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and the cinematic soundscapes of Danny Elfman. Even the ambient textures of new age artists like Steve Roach find their way into the mix.

GILLSAW'S music confronts the anxieties of modern life, exploring themes of
isolation, discouragement and the exploitation of the vulnerable, creating a sonic landscape that is both unsettling and cathartic. GILLSAW officially launched on December 1, 2024 and has already been on a dozen podcasts and written about across several music blogs.
